Alright, maestros of the duct---

For bouncing along the bottom, wouldn't drop shot 'flukes' provide more hootchee-coo than a jig head fluke? Just wondering as I hear more about the jig head rig.

I'm no expert on the duct, but every time I've tried a drop-shot or dropper loop rig there the tag line gets covered in weeds and the rig gets carried off within a minute or two. Except the one time that the gates were closed, but that isn't really the best time to fish there anyways. I've noticed that directly-tied on lures like cranks and paddle tail swimbaits seemed to pick up the least weeds. A jighead would probably work similarly. Now a spinnerbait may be something to think about....

yes, the weed factor. you might get some hootchie-coo with a c-rig too, which should be more weedless than the drop shot.
