Got to Zuma early for a 5.5 high tide. Lots of dolphins surfing. Came across sever crab beds and added a few to my bag of lug worms. Started with the 1/2 oz c-rigged lug worms for nada, switched to the crabs and finally found one pocket of average-sized fish. Tide started back out and I found a little hole with a nicer bunch, this one being the biggest.

the pic doesn't do justice, she was really gold colored.

Slow overall, but persistance paid off nicely this time.

found 'em where you're probably thinking;) A mini-rip seems to form there and they were again concentrate on that spot. This winter I've found beds in different places from Pt. Dume out to Trancas... but only when the high tide is really early in the morning... it helps to have a head lamp.

There were thousands of sand crabs all over portions of Jalama Beach when I was there Sunday. I needed one of those things to catch some. They are quick little buggers!
