04:00 Roll out of bed. . .

04:25 Car is loaded and I pull out of the garage

04:45 Fill the gas tank, buy some ice and water.

05:25 Driving to Redondo, I feel a little tug.
The tug keeps persisting. . . rattle rattle. . . DRAGGGGGG!!! Rubber starts peeling off!!!
OH **** I GOT SOMETHING BIG!!!!

38 POUND MONSTER FLATTIE!!!

05:50 I replace the flat. Look at my cell to check the time and I cry on the inside.

05:51 Still 30 mins away from the landing, I turn around and head back home. . .

06:49 Car is in the garage and my gear is all unloaded. Time to make a deceptive post. . .

Bad luck or what !! On the other hand ..... you could have headed to the landing at 3am and then had plenty of time to not only make the boat but get a spot you feel is the easiest to fish from! :)
