anyone local fish this lake??

Contact Tackle Warehouse in San Luis Obispo. They are close to Lopez Lake and I am sure they can fill you in on what up with it.
I've fished it a couple of times and it can be tuff

My Dad's home lake! You can always pluck a fish or too when times are tough off the dam. Dropshot never fails. I caught my first smallie and spotted bass at Lopez!
It's a good lake...I haven't been there for over a year but it produces and kickes out some nice size fish too. Get out there early...the afternoons have the tendancy to really blow.
Great lake for wind surfers, lol.

Crank, crank, and when your arm feels like it is going to fall off, keep cranking(deep divers). Don't know about right now, but when it warms up!

Yup CRANKS at Lopez. Back in the day, I use to hammer the staging SMB's on mid runners.
