I don't think Confusious ever said it, but it's just common sense that one generally should not trust a "round eye" who thinks he's really Asian.

But how was I supposed to know that "JapanRon, Tsurikichi" was just a white guy who thinks he is Japanese? It's a good thing I didn't know beforehand!
I've been a devoted fan of JapanRon's detailed, informative, and entertaining reports. He's on the Victory about twice a week, so something must be special. I've always been meaning to get out on the Victory, and this weekend presented the perfect opportunity.
No sooner had we got to Pierpoint landing and climbed on board, were we warmly greeted by Rick-Roney and Marianne.

They recognized us because they too were refugees from the cancelled Valentines Massacre PacificVoyager trip. And they had the same idea as us. They gave us great stories of the Victory and its crew's ability to find the fishing spots. We knew we were in a for blast.

Carl and Mike were the most awesome deck hands. They kept busy, even though there were only seven anglers.

Throughout the day, they helped us haul in 2 Calico Bass, 29 Sand Bass, and 60 Perch. From what I could tell, everyone was using frozen squid.
Carl kept us entertained as he snuck anchovie chunks into Mike's back pocket

later, Carl tried to sneak this pelican into Garrett's back pocket...but Garrett was sooo on to him!

Carl even showed Garrett a few card tricks while we were moving from spot to spot.

Skipper Mike was kind and patient enough to give me a few private lessons, even though I was managing fine on my own.

Here's the skipper explaining to me the purpose of our little trip.

He even showed Garrett the Wii and Guitar Hero he had set up next to the Fishfinder.

Special thanks to chef Bob for his wonderful grub, entertaining stories, and for helping out on deck.

We had sunny skies, calm seas, and great comraderie.

FisherBrat's sandbass ended up taking the jackpot,
