This was my first PVR trip. I’ve had a desire to hit this place for quite awhile. I just usually just bypass PVR trying to get to the Mammoth area! After I continued to read about the success people were having I had to go. So the Dog and I packed it up and we were on the road by 4:15am. We made a couple of stops and we arrived at Culvers at about 7:30. We had a line wet by 8:15am. I was initially fishing with two poles but had to stop because I couldn’t pick up the second rod without the first being bit!!!!!!!!!!!!! I managed a whole lot of dinks (C&R’d ). I then stopped with the crawlers and started using a Fly n Bubble set up. I managed a lot of small stockers, nothing of size. The biggest was a 2-2.5 lber. Regardless of the size, if your CATCHING fish, it is a great day!!!!!!!!!!!! Total count was 25+ for the day!!! Well worth the trip!!

It looks like a fly with an airplane spinner on the front? Do you just tie it straight on and cast it?

Haven't seen one of those in years if that's what it is...

they are tied onto the fly as one piece. i know you can buy a different brand but looks the same at basspro shops in the fly fishing section. they are called pistol petes

What kind of lure is that? A woolly bugger with a propeller?

It is a "Marvel Fly"
Its a Fly n Bubble set up. Water bubble filled all the way/ Swivel. Then a 5 to 6ft. leader. You can vary the retrieve. I've had some good success with it. good luck
