Made this tiny bait out of Balsa wood for Bluegills. Works great, but needs a bronze hook instead of the shiny gold treble. Also to cast it you need to use 1 lb test line.

Sweet. Reminds me of those Yozuri Snap beans. Cool beans (pardon the pun, lol).

Cool! How deep do you think it dives and how much do you think it weighs?

Hey CK Kevin...This little bait sinks slowly because of the hardware, but if I start winding it back in right after it hits the water, it will dive down maybe about a foot deep. I usually just use a steady slow retrieve and pause it every couple of feet. It is great in my float tube because I can let out more line than I could if I just cast it, then I just kick slowly and troll it. By the way, the one I use at my local Lake Perris is florescent green and yellow. For whatever reason, the 'Gills there like green.

Yes 1 lb test line. You can cast this little bait or any tiny lure better and farther out with this super light line. Berkley makes it for ice fishing. It's called "Micro Ice".
