Up the coast 2-12-09

Made it up to my fishing destination around 12:30pm. I started off by throwing the Flash Minnow and got nothing for about thirty minutes. I then moved to drop shotting a fluke and WAMO, a shorty about 15-16 inches but it got off just as I pulled it in onto the sand. On my very next cast got another one but this time I got it out. It was the same size as the one I lost. Kept fishing till 5pm without a bite then caught a slab perch on the green Kroc. And that is how I concluded my evening. I'm still on my mission to land a legal, I sense it coming soon!:Big Grin:

Good luck on your journey also! Does any body have any idea where might be a preferred area in which the Halibut might be favoring at this time of the year? Temperatures, depths certain structures?
