Got to the lake at 5p.m. Loaded up with bait, firewood, etc and hit the south side of Chris' pond. Set up at the handicap access area and had one on in about five minutes on an inflated nightcrawler. Again, thanks to yamafish fishing solo was a breeze with those pole holders......

Sweet, skunks off my back! About an hour or so later, I landed my second fish.....first lightning of the year! Nice!

I decided to try those glow in the dark nitro worms on one pole but only had a nibble once in an hour and a half period so switched back over to inflated nightcrawlers.
9 p.m. was approaching fast without a nibble so I decided to move a bit up the bank.
At exactly 9:15, I get another hit. Nice another lightning also on N/C.

Then at 9:20............

And then again at 9:33............

I was tempted to stay with the bite that hot but that was my limit and I didn't want to upset the fish gods since I've rarely caught a limit at SARL plus it was just starting to drizzle so home I went.

The hot spot was at the south end of the pond. Just left of two dead piles of reeds. The bank looks like rain runoff dug three deep trenches in the sand. The fish were shallow. I was using short leaders 8" or so with inflated N/Cs sprayed with garlic bang.

You're welcome lurkers....

LOL at the lurkers comment! Great job on the early limit bullets! I wish I had been as successful the night before but have nothing to complain about either. We'll have to hit up a night session soon with Casty and Saint and anyone else that wants to jump on the fish wagon (boat?)....

peace out....FDS

i like solo fishing nice and quiet + you get straighten things out in your head
that's the best way to vent.

I did plan to go out, would have been there if it wasn't for the drizzle....

Way to go though. I like the rod holders. Might get one soon...
