I have a shorter than expected business meeting tomorrow off the 15 fwy. and Mira Mesa Blvd. so I wanted to take a fishing detour on the way back home to the Riverside area. Any good lakes that you would recommend? What about Poway Lake? Thanks in advance.

You will be within a stones throw from Lake Miramar, a much better spot than Poway IMO. I have had great success at Miramar in the past, it's one of my favorite lakes in S.D.

Curious! How and where do you fish at Miramar. I run that lake all the time and I don't see any fisherman.

Heres the website if you haven't seen it yet

Make sure to check the "Whats new" link to find the latest news.

Looks like Otay is Wed,Sat,Sun only.

When I fished Miramar 10 years ago they were 3 days only but now it says 7 days. There was no gate fee to get in but you did need to buy a fishing permit to fish.
