Decided to head up into the hills and find some trout the other day. Had a lot of options, but I decided to work a small local drainage for little redbands. They did not disappoint. First cast and I had one on, as well as the next two, lol! Had a nice WFO bite for about two hours. Nothing huge, but fun nonetheless. I caught them all on Gulp! earthworms, except one dink that I stuck on a trout magnet. Ended up catching something around twenty of the little guys. Here are a few pics. Enjoy...

Here's the cliff face you have to climb to get in:

I have more pics, but you get the point. Lots of dinks, lol. Tight lines.

Beautiful pictures. There is nothing quite like catching a wild trout. While they are not all that large to brag about size to your buddies, they are definitely one of nature blessings. Wild, fight like gang busters and beautifully colored.

I may have to put the bass tackle down for a while and dust off the fly rods!

Thanks for sharing!

Nice pics, Creek fishing is the best. I miss Bishop, nothing beats walking a few miles up and down the creek. Most of the time the small ones put up the better fight.
That looks like a tough spot to get into but it was worth it. Congrats!

That cliff face looks hazardous. But, it looks like it was worth it. You caught some nice fish and had nice day. Appreciate you taking the time to share and post.

That's not what the fish said, he he he. It does stink, but it sure fishes better than normal plastics. I was actually gonna bring the fly rod instead, until I realized I was totally out of tippet material, lol.
