Lower Otay 2/7/09

Hey guys went out to Otay. Quite a bit of people out there. Meet bulldog. Saw old associates. Quite a few of my friends out there. Katfish J, Preston, Catmando, Devin, Gary. Meet some new peeps. Glad to see them all as it was just fishing to me.

As far as the bite was concerned it was tough. I had one catfish run on Saturday at 3pm that just was not meant to be as it wrapped me up in snaggs and was huge. Not dd huge either. But what can you say. I will leave that as a fish story which I like to forget Its all part of paying dues. LOL.

Kyshand came up on some gills so did I. That was it. Pig gills. Sunday was a no go for nothing, cats or gills. But still always good to get out.

I will get back out there soon maybe this coming weekend. I want my revenge. LOL

There were a few people out there getting some. My buddy Gary came up on a few drifting Harvey Arm. Others caught some as well but it was not wide open. I made one drift but decided to buckle back down for that one blue. I think the cold chill affected them and slowed their role on the bite. Thanks on the props for the gillies - I like to represent for the panfish too. LOL.

No trout at all there in Otay?!

Catmando caught one small trout. Kyshand had one small trout that came off at boat. Other than that, i did not really see anyone out there targeting them. The one that bit for us bit a waxworm while we were fishing for gills.

Hey Seng, My homeboy caught 1 3/4 to 2+ LB Slabs at perris. He was just showing me the pics. He got like 15 or so. Says they were out deep, but not as deep as they have been. I think they will be making a move shallower next month. But they are there and bitting

I use windows movie maker. Its not hard just takes some time thats all. Once you practice a few times its becomes easier each time you do it.
