Well after not catching any big spotties during the SWBA Rnd 1, I decided to see what was wrong that day and headed dwon to NPH for a trip on foot at about 1200. I left the heavy rain and t-storms in West Covina and was headed to the coast where winds were forecast 15-20. On the drive down it was obvious there were some storms coming ashore down there but I kept going. After arriving the rain would come and go, but the wind was cranking out of the nw 15-20 gusts to 30 maybe. Took a few minutes to decide on if I would even try, but what the heck, I am already here!

This is what I found at 9th St. where I was starting.

One of the ropes on the flag pole broke shortly afte the video and the flag fell to the ground right at the waters edge so I went and picked it up and folded it and put it back on their deck.

I stayed there for a spell but get notta, conditions were unforgiving. I worked my way up the 15th street and this was the conditions up there.

It was not letting up but I stuck it out and got this nice spottie at 1.81 lbs.

Was not long and I got this one at .98 lbs.

I got another that was about 11.5 inches and did not snap a photo. I worked back to 9th for no more fish. At least I got three and one was decent.

HMMMMMMM!

I seem to remember a statement from you after we returned to you house from the event and you said Quote "F NPH, I am not returning there until we start to get ready for next years SWBA event there in 2010" Unquote

I knew that was a lie!!!!!!! What does surprise me though is there was not a report from you that night on how you went back down on foot to get immediate revenge on your little spotted friends.

For those who are wondering how I came up with the Team name Spotted Fever, It should be easy to figure out, as Eddie at this point is incurable!!!!

Glad you braved the conditions partner while I was in doors in meetings all day at work and warm!!!!!!

Steve

P.S. Did you try to at least try to snag my rig while you were in the area?????????

That one 1.81 would have bumped us 10+ places at the SWBA but we cant rewrite history!!!!!!!
