After being home sick with the flu and stuck in the house since Tuesday, we decided to go float tubing Sunday at Laguna Niguel and to get out of the house and enjoy ourselves for a bit. When we got there, there was only a handful of people on the shoreline and one other tuber and it stayed that way for the rest of the day. The skies were gloomy with a few sprinkles every now and then but nothing too crazy. It was my first time tubing and I had a great time even though I didn't catch anything. I threw in everything but the kitchen sink (all colors of power bait, power worms, etc.) and not one bite! It was a nice to spend a Sunday on the lake and to get comfy in my new tube! I will definitely be back on the waters again soon and those trout better watch out!

I did manage to snap a few pictures so enjoy and thanks for reading!

Great pics & report!

Skunk just means you're justified in going and fishing more...

Btw, I don't see any "jagobas" in the drink holder?!?

Looked like you were well prepared and have some nice gear for your first time float tubing. Bummer about the slow day... but at least you feel better and get to go fishing. :Envious:

Sorry about the skunk. I had the same El Skunko at LNL last year when paDDy convinced me to tube it. Pretty little lake and perfect for tubing though.Glad you enjoyed your first time tubing. I have the Caddis Nevada Gold also and love it.I kinda have tricked mine out with a floating cooler and a fishfinder. Now I can see all of the fish I can't seem to catch sometimes....LOL But at least I don't starve!
Last year I devoted most of my tubing to the saltwater in Santa Barbara harbor. It's great doing drifts and catching all sorts of species. You should try it some time. It's addicting!

Thanks all for your replies! I'm hoping to get out there again soon and kill those bastards! Its quite frustrating when you know they are there in that pond and cant get them to bite! Hopefully I can post a successful report when that time comes!

Thanks again! :Thumbs Up:
