I've always wondered about how the use of plastic bait can have an impact on the environment--here's an article i came across about a new type of plastic lure that will help reduce the amount of plastic waste that end up in our waterways specifically due to our use of plastic lures...the articles are relatively old, but very interesting...let me know what you guys think...

meh...IMO it's really just grasping at straws

there are much, much larger issues contributing to the degradation of our waterways that should be addressed before people waste time and brain power worrying about plastic debris left by fishermens' tackle

It almost makes me think that some of these people have too much time on their hands.

little bit like those bio-degradeable golf tees that lasted about one season. let's work on PCBs and mercury first shall we. now any of you bozos that throw your line in the water after you cut out a birdsnest, stop it. and if i find one more styrofoam nightcrawler container, i'll puke. the people you need to worry about don't even fish lures.
