WENT UP THE ROAD AGAIN WEDS AFTER DOING WORK EARLY IN LONE PINE HEADED TO INDEPENDENCE FIXED SOME VINYL FLOORING FOR A PASTOR AT HIS HOUSE THEN IT UP THE HWY HEADING FOR BISHOP. RIGHT AFTER WE GOT OUT OF TOWN WE COULD SEE A BIG FIRE DOWN BY THE OLD RIVER BED EAST OF BLACKROCK SPRINGS IT WAS BURNING BIG AND FAST IN THE WIND,ME AND BROWNIE MAN GOT TO WARM SPRINGS AND DROVE DOWN TO THE RIVER,WE DECIDED TO GO SOUTH OF THE BRIDGE A COUPLE MILES TO AN AREA A FRIEND SAID WAS GOOD WE FOUND SOME REALLY NICE LOOKING SPOTS BUT THE WIND WAS SO STRONG IT WAS BLOWING ALL KINDS OF STUFF INTO WATER AND IT MADE IT TO HARD TO FISH WITH ALL THE FLOATING DEBREE. AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR OF STRUGGLING WE HEADED BACK UP TO THE BRIDGE WERE WE FISHED A COUPLE WEEKS AGO,THERE WASNT NEARLY AS MUCH STUFF IN THE WATER ,SO IT WAS ON ,IT SPRINKLED ON AND OFF.I WORKED THE SAME AREA FOR ALOT OF FISH, AT ONE POINT TWO ASIAN FELLOWS WALKED UP AND WATCHED ME JIG THE RIVER FOR SEVERAL FISH IT MADE THEM HAPPY CAUSE THEY THEN KNEW THE FISH WERE BITING , THE SUN WENT BEHIND THE MOUNTAINS AND IT WAS TIME FOR THE MOTEL,THE CRAWLER TIP WITH THE WHITE POWER EGG WAS THE TRICK AGAIN. THURSDAY WE GOT UP AND HEADED FOR THE BISHOP DMV WE DID ARE WORK OVER THERE THEN IT WAS TIME FOR SOME CRAWLERS AND HEAD UP TO THE PVR,IT WAS RAINING ON AND OFF ALL DAY,IT SPRINKLED QUITE ABIT UP AT THE RES. I WISHED I COULD HAVE TAKEN MORE PICS BUT IT WAS HARD IN THE RAIN TO KEEP THE CAMERA DRY FOR THE FEW I TOOK. THE FISHING WAS REALLY GOOD IT WAS GOOD FOR THE TWO BALD EAGLES WE WATCHED CATCHING FISH RIGHT OUT IN FRONT OF US. THE POWER EGG IN CHARTREUSE WITH THE CRAWLER TIP WAS REALLY GOOD BUT IT DIDNT GOT WILD UNTIL I BROKE OUT THE MIKES GLITTER MALLOWS I FISHED THEM BY THEM SELVES AND WITH A CRAWLER TIP AND THE FISH JUST BLEW THEM UP I COULD NOT SET THE ROD DOWN BECAUSE THEY HIT THEM SO FAST, I GOT THE MALLOWS IN MY GIFT BAG FROM THE STRIPER BOWL I PICKED THE BAG FOR THE KPN LURE THAT WAS IN IT BUT THE MALLOWS WERE THE EXTRA BONUS, I HAVE TO GO BACK UP IN A COUPLE WEEKS I HOPE THEY SOME BIGGER ALPERS IN SOON THE LITTLE ONES ARE ALRIGHT BUT I DO LIKE THE BIG BRUISERS AND THE WAY THEY FIGHT,,,,troutonly

Bob, you need to set the hook quicker, when they are gut hooked like that, they make pretty lethargic bait. Be a little more on your toes please.

Very nice. I've wondered how those pink mallows would work. Figured would try them since I had such good luck up there on pink power worms...OFG

Yahoo the weather doesnt effect it as much as the moon sign check a fishing calender for the best fishing days,we fished in crappy weather and the bite stayed the same, the pvr will do nothing but get better before the blake jones derby next month i think im going to fish it this year i havent in a few,,,i think it was chewbaca hiding in the reeds,,,lol,,,

Nice looking fish with tails Uncle Bob.

I wonder if those browns up there would tear up the 4 inch gulp jigged off the bottom?

EVERY YEAR THEY PUT LESS AND LESS ALPERS IN THE PVR, I DIDNT FISH NEAR THE RAMP ,AND THATS THE STOCKING SPOT, THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THE LOCALS KNOW WHEN THE STOCKINGS ARE AND HIT IT VERY HARD BEFORE THE OUT OF TOWNERS GET A CHANCE AT THEM,,,t/o
