Fished Lake Evans yesterday alone...no one wanted or could go.. I got wet but did pretty good on a couple of bass, one was maybe 3 lbs, about 18 inches. Tried a new bait. 4.5" Shadelicous. Works pretty good! There is a lot of junk on the water from the trees and it made it hard to fish. Hopefully it will all sink down.

Alan (one leg) and I hit up a local pond on Friday night, when it was raining. I'm glad I had on the rain gear:Wink:

I have had some of my best bass fishing during periods of rain. Not so much at Fairmont, but some of the larger SoCal lakes- (Casitas, El Cap, Henshaw...) I mean it was REALLY good! Catfish too, especially where feeder creeks come into lakes. Can be awesome!

Way to go Jeff! Nicely done brother. And you are right about Fairmont having a lot of junk on top, especially after a heavy rain. You should have let me know you were going, I would have met you down there.
