My boat's out of commission so I fished the shore at the lagoon by the parking lot last Saturday for about an hour with no luck. But the lifeguard came by in the boat and told me that someone caught a 17-pounder the previous day (which would have been 1/30). Anyone hear about that?

Seriously? I'm getting my boat back from Lakeside Marina next week and plan to hit upper Castaic next weekend. Any suggestions anyone?

heard it through the grapevine that Butch had caught some nice ones not long ago, wouldn't surprise me.
