After a rough week I just had to get out of the house and wet a line Wedneday night, so I called FNN's very own bluegill whisperer Bullets_Full and before I knew it we were headed over to Sarl for the evening. We were both very optimistic of catching something, especially after reading fishinsmokindrinkin's report from the night before....thanks again for the report and suggesting the glow in the dark nitro worms!
Hit the 3 pipes area a little after 5pm...Bullets threw out a crawler to feed the bluegill and some PB on the other. I opted for an orange plastic with green power egg and the other chartruse chromaglow. We both varied our leaders from 8-18 inches in hopes of getting dailed in asap. Shorter leaders seemed better than the longer ones.
It was a beautiful sky as the sun started to go down and I was stoked to be fishing and hangin with my homie Greg

Bullets was pretty pumped to try out the rod holders....sorry for the poor picture quality, Greg post up the pics you took if you get a chance. You took way more than I did!

Bullets was first to get on board with a nice fat fish, looked like one of them thar fancy taildancers I been reading about....insert pic Greg. I was not about to let him school me chasing trout, maybe bluegill or cats, BUT not trout! I followed up with a decent fish of my own after about an hour or two...of course Greg put on the pressure with another fish, but a smaller model. I think white pb was the key for Greg whereas I was getting mine on the glow in the dark nitro worms! They will always have a spot in my box from now on. Before checking out another spot I evened things up with a good fish and then after a lull we headed over to the secret spot
Actually Poxy Boggards made a suggestion and it paid off, thansk Wes "the spot" paid off....Greg farmed his 2nd or 3rd fish and I gave mine the "feelthesteel" treatment and landed my 3rd bow before we called it a night!
I usually take more pics, but as I mentioned Bullets was camera dude and I seemed to always be busy doing something else before it finally got dark....BUT I did take a pic of the 5 fish we caught.

Bullets fish are on the top and bottom, mine are the middle 3...scoreboard homie!
Thanks again for coming out on short notice...a sure sign of a good friend.
