Well my brother in law talked me into one of those trips, from Point Loma in April. Im a big freshwater fisherman, and he swears that Im gonna be hooked. Im getting really excited for it, and was hoping some people would send me some pointers... PLEASE....

For how long? Which boat? When in April? It's spring season so depending on how long the trip is you could be fishing for spring yellowtail, white sea bass or fishing Colonett for rockfish and ling cod. There's also the possibility of fishing the Coronado islands along with San Clemente Island or even along the coast depending on what's biting.

that's a big ocean. like everyone said, could be fishing for calico bass, could be rockfish, could be yellowtail and WSB. i'd post the question again a week or so before you're going out when you have a better idea about what the captain is going to do.
