Lets just say everyone better hope the bite gets better because it was DEAD out there today..
I had 2 bites all day for 2 fish... Biggest being about 3.5
Everyone I talked to was doing $h!tty as well..
Tuff times and alot of boats out there
The best thing about the day was the weather..
Both caught on Drop-Shot

How about crappie? I lived above the old bar at Hodges for a couple years and caught some nice quality crappie from a kayak, oh and a few of those bass too.

In regards to the Crappie. I talked to about 3 or 4 different boats that were fishing them and they all said slow fishing..

2 is betta than none, good to see a Hodges report...

I used to frequent that lake many years back and have 30-40 fish days...

I'm sure weather has allot to do with it....you'll get out on 'em on a better day I'm sure.

I look forward to another report.

Yeah, you sure are right about that... For a while I thought ol skunk-o was going home with me but I fought hard and came thru with those two..
Having said that, I am thinking about going back tomorrow 2/7/09 even after all these rains..

its hard to tell with all the tournaments coming up if the reports are legit or not. my best advise is to hit it up and give it 110% of effort and find out for yourself {no preconceived notions}. most of those tourny guys are tight lipped when money is on the line.

I agree and I am one of the few tournament anglers that will "talk"
Having said that, I did have a few good friends out there on Wednesday as well and I know they all struggled as well..and these are guys who will "shoot straight" with me..
