have a 2 piece shimano clarus 10-30lb .
the rod cracked and had it glued and wrapped, now its a 1 piece rod.
there is a bulge where they wrapp the cracked end.
it has been tested and its great. READY TO FISH AGAIN.
IM GOING TO LAST CHANCE TACKLE THIS SAT, TO PICK IT UP.

P.S:you know these rods have lifetime warranties....you could have sent it in to shimano and only paid $20 for a Brand NEW one....

Im sure the warranty is no longer valid when you alter the rod like strippin it and getting it rewrapped.
But I'll up the ante to 100 pesos

yeah, normally factory warranties are voided once you alter the rod, in ANY way (on factory spec rods).......

manufacuter warranty ARE voided when altering the rod.
the rod is in great shape, we pull on the rod really hard, IT HOLDS UP.
if your in the area , go to LAST CHANCE TACKLE, and ask to see the rod.
once you get the look and feel of it, Im pretty sure you,ll change your mind.
the only thing is , when they glued the rod together, IT HOLDS VERY STRONG, the wrapping over the crack is what looks kinda funny.
looks like a lil lump on the blank.
