82-85, yes.BTW...The bands you mentioned do equate to hair bands in the truest sense of the definition.

Hair Band = Poison and bands of-the-like...which translates into...not much musical talent, just fun music.

Those Salton Sea pics are truly interesting to me. I'm not sure if anyone will ever get another chance to pull an orangemouth corvina out of there ever again. Cool pics!

Yeah, I miss that place. We used to go two or three times a year. I'd kick around in that little boat jigging Hopkins Spoon and dragging those water dogs. A 10 pounder would drag me pretty good.

One summer we stopped on the way back from Texas. The corvina had the tilapia pushed up against the bank. We were catching the tilapia and using them for bait. We musta caught 30+ two to five pound+ fish in a couple of hours.

There were times we'd sit out there and catch a whole 30 gallon ice chest full of those big talapia too.

Cool pics Bako, I have an old shoe box full of those myself.

Let's see, in the 80's my favorite metal band was Iron Maiden.

We caught them at Eldo, but stopped at the pond at Heartwell on the way home. We used to ride our bike from South and Atlantic all the way to Eldo.

Of course you can see this was before they made Heartwell Lake into a roller rink.

That season we were throwing 1/64 oz white crappie jigs. Throw them out as far as we could, which wasn't very far. We could see the jigs...as soon as the jig was close enough to see, those crappie would come out of the shadows and engulf the jig. Lotta fun that year. We had lots of days that year catching them that year.

Judas Priest RULES, Wingnut!!!
