here is a hint, you can see people fishing in the "river"...o' death from the freeway.

ok. cool. i live in long beach...and dont really make over to the west side of town...but i'll take a look at the topography...and if i have to ride my bike all the way up to paseadena...i guess i'll find it.

nice fish anyhow...carp arew so much fun!!

I know where that is . Thats along the 5 freeway in ATWATER village. I drive that bridge once in a while .LOL

seriously? LA river? you might try the sewage treatment plant while you are at it! The brown trout are biting like crazy in there!

Don't worry about it I've never fished the LA river and probably won't any time soon.

Back from the river, i caught a trout......as i was reeling it in a homeless guy emerged from under the water took my fish and went back under:Sad:.....skunked again.

i keep a can of scent with me for when that happens... garlic is effective but ive found that pepper spray works the best.:ROFL:

Nothing wrong with fishing in the LA river, its all about catch and release right?! LOL!

Just make shure you have your rubber gloves while handeling those brown trout! :ROFL:

On the real, that was a nice carp, and with carp all you need is a pic and its win, right right LOL!

thats nothing. i used to go carp fishing near the 605s / 60 interchange. just park my the gas station off peck rd on the 60 and the gate is usually open. man o man there are some beasty carp down there. esp when the water level rises it get filled with fish then it gets shut down and the level drops and theres DD fish sitting in puddles3/4 ft deep. ppl were netting them. i remember asking them if they eat them and they said YES! crazy world out there...

Yes , its an Irish Brown Trout species that usually are native to any good pub or in n out burger joint. C&R only though. DFG is real nasty if ya get caught with a stringer....
