After the skunk at Castaic i needed to catch a fish. so i headed to hemet today. it was really fricken cold 22 degrees. I had gloves on and they got a little wet and they stuck to a pole at the ramp. when i was reeling in my line i was getting ice build on the level winds. it was cold even the fish didnt want to bit. when i warmed up the fish started to bite... i got the smallest trout i have ever caught that was not in a creek. all in all a good day i caught 8 total all released........opps i didnt say that..........

That is a Micro trout for sure. Gets the Skunk off though. Nice going fishing in that COLD!!! Thanks for the post & pics.

ITS NOT WHAT YOU CATCH But just getting out and trying and smelling the clean air , ha , thanks for the report .

To Pete- Good job braving the elements out there. Just spending the day on the water sure is a great way to spend your time. Glad your feeling better and it's always nice to hear your reports. Too bad they're not from the Jewel!

40 degree up to 42.5 when it warmed up

nice goin Pwynn! 22 thats nice n chilly! i ended up fishing my local lake today too, so i could feel "refreshed" after the tough bite at castaic the other day :Cool:

I just could not go the whole weekend without a fish. It was a nice day up there BUT a little cold...

Nice job! :Thumbs Up: I was up there on Saturday and caught two stockers that were the smallest I've caught there in the last 6 months. Love this lake, one day I'll have to try it from a boat.
