What a way to end a great month of fishing. The month started off with a 10.2 pound rainbow. than the week after that i got an 8.3 and 6.0, i even got a brown last week. So lets get to this week i went to Yucaipa for the Mt Lassen stock, it was a slow day but the size of fish were great. It was about 1:00 and i haven't had a single bite. I was jigging an orange power worm and finally bendo. after a 10 min fight i got him to the net It weighted 7.8 and that's my fourth fish over 6 pounds in the last month

I use a mini Jig and take the skirt off and thread the power worm on it. I've just started doing it about 2 months ago and its really starting to work great.

Thats Huge for a Yucaipa Lake, I was there that day, cross the lake and i caught the 1st fish of the morning, pretty slow day, but i guess i was a good day for you!
You fish there much. . ? Everytime i go there i fish the shady side of the upper lake. do you have any recommedations. . . ?

i am a local up there, PM me next time you go out, for some trout slaying!

My folks live out there so I visit occasionally as well. definely post if people are planning to go we can "hook up" and share stories. I have only been there once in the last few months, but didn't have time to fish it, just checked it out for next trip.
