Took the family out with a mid-morning start. Nice warm day on the water. Trolled for trout with the wife and kids in hope of getting one of those tagged one ($$$). Had 3 poles out, 5 colors with a J-7, 3 colors with a red/white needlefish, and F-5 on the DR bouncing between 25 and 40 feet. The DR got bumped at 27 feet on the south side by the tower. No love on repeated pass bys. The needlefish clicker started to scream on the north side between the marina and sail cove. What could it be???? It was the wife's turn to crank and she boated a LMB just shy 3 lbs and a little under 18 inches. Sorry no photo's, left the camera at home, so it was just C&R. Did the boat cruise the rest of the day and checked future areas. Metered alot of bait in the 35-40 foot range and the water temp around 65. Nice to be on the water.

But you may need a new temp gauge....65...NOT. Try 55 degrees at best.

Good job on the fish though.

best place i usually get alot of trout trolling is around the marina points. get the boat in the 20-25ft depth and use rapalas esp. the firetiger cd medium sized ones. the rbt color also works well. I usualy drop 2-3 colors. Now bass i have no idea im horrible at catching them at perris. Well actually thats most places LOL!
