Corona Lake 1-25-09 w/pics

[MAN VS WILD]

Last minute decision to hit up Corona for the first time and it payed off. Smelling like skunk from my last 4 trips, today I was on a mission to punk the skunk! Got to Corona with the wife and baby Toni at 6:30 and parked over by the dam. In the first 2 minutes BAM! skunk off!!! For the next 3 hours it was on fire. It took about an hour just to get all 4 poles in the water at once. It was wide open along this shoreline. Powermouse, nightcrawlers and powerbait all were on fire. By 9:45 the wife and I both had our limits. She farmed 4 and farmed 3. Biggest one was a 2 lb tailwalker. That was the first fish I caught. There was a 1.5 lb and the rest were stocker size. We were done and on our way by 10am which worked out perfect for us because I had a schedule appt. at 12 to get my car an oil change and tune-up. I dropped off the wife and baby at the in-laws and went to get my car taken car of. When I got back to the in-laws they had made Fish soup and put some of the other trouts in the oven for a delicious fish dinner.

I myself have a 8 month old boy and have been going to "fish" here and there for about a few hours at a time. I want to thank everyone for taking the time to read and post your replies. TD thanks for the call the night before with some info on the lake.

Fish_Hunter, The first report of my baby and I fishing was last February when she was only 3 months. We were at Irvine lake and I had her in a BabyBjorn and we caught and netted a 4lber. She has been hooked ever since.
