Anyone ever been on the Malihini out of SD??

My g/f is gonna take me out on the Malihini for V-day because she is awesome. But i have never fished out of SD nor have i ever fished mexican waters.

I was wondering if any of you have been on the 3/4 day trip out to the islands on the Malihini and if so how was the crew and the boat????


Also what should i be bringing tackle wise? Right now i have my salt poles rigged with 20 and 25lbs line i also have a good selection of irons and top water jigs. Should i be bringing anything bigger then 8oz lead????
