Went up to the house prepping it for the girls to use for the "Bachlorette Party" over the weekend. My son is getting married the 31st. We got everything set up and turned on Friday afternoon/evening and I planned to hit the lake in the morning.

Saturday morning I went over to the east launch ramp jetty and spent a few hours wetting a line. Arrived at 6:15 and got set up. Within 10 minutes one pole gets tapped. Loaded up and set the hook. Small 10" rainbow, released. As soon as the it hits the water the other pole gets slammed. Nice keeper, female full of roe. Felt bad but it was gut-hooked.

Fished to 11:00 with 3 more fish landed, only more one keeper, a male. All fish caught on power bait. Used a 8"-12" leader, two caught working the bait back to shore, others were "bait and wait" senerio. All fish had nice, full tails. Beautiful day weather wise with a steady wind, but no white caps. Hopefully I have attached the picture correctly, first attempt at same.

Thanks for reading,

Bill

Nice fish! Hows the north shore looking?

The north shore is pretty clear and wide open. I did not check anything on the south side of the lake. I heard that there is still ice at the dam area but I did not personally confirm this.

Hey ChiefMad,

I was just bringing the retrieve back slowly, maybe 2 or 3 feet at a time and letting it set for 30 seconds to a minute.

Good luck to you,

Bill
