A live squid alone would get bit. This lure might scare the seabass away

The skirt looks pretty good, but it need some sort of trailer. The fish are notorious for nipping at the trailing arms. I wish the lucanus ones were a bit more durable. Your bite will increase if you make that adjustment.

The rope is similar to the Assit hooks for the Butterfly jigs.

I'll look into the trailer idea, thanks.

Seems like a good idea i want to try it i would love to use them for rock fishing in Mex.How well does the rope hold the hooks on there.

You should melt the frizzy ends of those ropes. Let us know how it works!

I took a lucanis out last year, it is unbelievable how much it gets bit and how those little dam hooks do the job. I used the red and orange one, but damn, I am a believer. I think some yellow trailers off the skirt and you would be golden!

I wasn't really sure on what colors would be best, so I chose white seeing as how it loooksi similay to squid colors. I'll probably make a red and orange one too.
