got on the Southern Cal for some rain fishin! we had a productive day with 5 guys nailin 38 sandies and 11 sculpin. i had 5 legals and 3 sculpin. we cuaght allotta shallow rockfish, but released them of course. the current and wind was really heavy, with a constant drizzle all day. had a great time out there, sorry only took 1 pic. thanks for readin

Good job. SoCal seems to rule on the Bass. Did you fish with a bunch of little floaty thingys all around you?

Even if the rockfish are released they'll most likely die. That's the sad part of it. Anyways thanks for the report!

Thats great!! Most landings won't go with that amount.

yeah ryan puts on the bass pretty good. floaty things, yes, i even lost a few lead heads on the traps

no, they were all shallow, all survivors. we didnt fish deep at all.

Congrats to you on your 5 sandals and other fish too. The traps can be a gold mine.


But fishing them can get expensive. That is why I try to stay away from them if possible.
