Yeah, can't the original poster drop 42 cents on a postage stamp and mail it to the person who lost it?

Damn, a blank license?

I thought you were supposed to fill out the name and address before leaving any establishment that sells 'em, per DFG regs.

Guess not.

If you report it to the DFG, they can trace the store selling it by the Lisc number. Dont really know what good that will do except teach the store to follow the rules. which apparently is not important in California.. :Rolls Eyes:

I'll give you $42 for it.

The employee that sold it will probably be willing to pay something to not have it reported to the boss or the DFG.

They didn't make me fill mine out. I had to ask them for a pen cause I was heading straight out to the lake and they almost seemed annoyed

Dude, are you serious?
If you are, that's classic. So did you buy back your net?

Picked up my license at Big 5 and I didn't fill it out until I got home.

Ditto on filling out when got home. I told the Big 5 guy I thought we should fill it out in front of him. He shrugged his shoulders and just said "i dont care"

BB on the wire:

This angler really could have had a bad day, whats worse? Once watched a guy lean back in a boat and backwards he went into the lake! Thats right! Dunked himself with pole and all in the lake! Possibly this angler could have lost the license when he/she took a swim! That could be worse! gear could have been pulled to davy jones and only thing left is this license that has been found :)

Maybe the person that lost it paid with a credit/ATM card and they could track down that person using their payment records? I would be glad if that store were to do that for me if I were to lose my license.

Wait, you're not supposed to lose both at once?

That's way too confusing.

Um, they should sell a booklet with about 20 of them in it. Lose one, tear out another.

Or you can just sell them to your homeboys for $20 bucks a piece.

That's a profit margin of 330 bucks, assuming you paid $50 for your license.
