After having luck with the BBZ1 4" shad. I looked around for a similar bait but in a bluegill pattern. I came across this lure from reaction strike for a good price.

The action is sick .... real life like swim action and its pretty well balanced. As soon as you stop reeling it turns about 180 deg to stare down any chasing fish and entice a strike. I bought the slow sink model which falls about the same rate as the BBZ1 shad. You can retrieve on the surface as a topwater and it leaves a nice wake. The only thing is that it rolls on its side when burned to fast on the surface. thats where the BBZ1 shined. You can burn it and it stays straight on topwater leaving a nice wake. At a slow to moderate retrieve they both are very similar. Anyways Its a killer little bait for the price. Now I just need to get some pics with a piggy hooked onto it.

Doesn't reaction strike always bootleg others baits? Where did ya get it at?

Me tinks that would work better up north for the pikes and muskies since it looks like a yellow perch.

as i stated in the thread "ITS A SHAD", but the color pattern is pretty dam close if you ask me. The lure looks just like the bluegill babies that we have in our lake. I'm about to go try it out in a couple minutes.........hope I can get a picture with it hooked onto a fish.

Yep, and since they need to under cut the competition's price, they use cheaper hardware and materials.

I've been privy to one Reaction Strike bait, and had issues with it. Then I did some research online to find out how others fared with their baits, and let's just say that I'm glad I kept away.

Put a black spot on the edge of the gill flap with a Sharpie and you'll have your Bluegill.

Not trying to knock your bait, and I dont speak from experience. But I have a thread on here about Reaction Strike baits, and it didnt get a positive response. But good luck non the less.

Pros:
The action on this bait is really lifelike and they have a good selection of patterns. Reasonable price

Cons:
Cheap hardware..... The hooks and the hardware used for the joints can use an upgrade. (you can always replace the hook, but the hardware used for the joints can't)
