I just bought the Humminbird 565 Portable sonar unit. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience using this model? Any battery problems or any other problems? It has lots of positive feedbacks on the basspro and cabelas site. Thanks for the opinions/suggestions!!

Went a little bit lower and got a PiranhaMax 220, but the 565 would have
been my next choice. Is it colored?

hey bro, it's on sale for $180 at Sports Chalet (at least in Glendora, as of yesterday), i believe retail is $200 at BPS...

but for $200 i'd go with the lowrance x96.

No it isn't a color model but it is high in resolution, its a dual beam sonar which is 200kHz at 20 degrees and 83kHz at 60 degrees it also has a really bright screen.

It's funny you posted about a portable. I went to BPS and saw a fish finder you can use from docks or from shore, I had never seen anything like that before. I thought it was a cool idea.
