That is exactly what I was thinking sitting first in line at 5:00 am this morning, cloudy, breezy and starting to rain...

Got a boat and met up with FishTacosmmm, again, we weren't even trolling for 5 minutes and he's hooked up! As usual! A nice LMB!
We were targeting Stripers but the word around the lake was they are DEEP!
Then after a while we started trolling the East Dam and traded hookups, the day was looking great ( for LMBs).
Then I got my largest of the day! A nice 3lb Striper.

The rain picked up and the next few hours were slow, Taco scored this nice 7 lb Striper back at the East Dam again.

Rain shot!

The green monsters swim freely around DVL
but this time of year they are deep an slow
and the skunk jumps and boils on top
Most people today at DVL got skunk again
because they were not deep enought
and not slow enought.
I meet with Brian aka Socalguy07
and we looked for Striper bass, but could not find a single fish
we think they gathered somewhere safe and not biting.
So next in our list was the green monster, Largemouth bass
and we had double hookups as we searched and metered the lake
the water is very low and private boats are not admited yet
because of the ramp being short, but they're working on it
if fishing bass from shore use a sinker
attached to a 3 way and a floating
rapala may do the trick just reel slow
I saved these fish from Brian's magic marker
LOL

drying box huh? You dont need a drying wheel? Does the top coat come out smooth just by hanging? If you can send me some pix on the box id rather hang mine than have to put on a wheel.. You planing on anyother swimmies besides the plug? I think im goona rattle can a few of mine just to get them on the water for testing i would of had a air brush but a swimbait setup caught my eye lol
