Bay and Surf Question...

Hello. i have never fished the surf or the bay on skiff, so i have a couple questions.

1. If i were to go surf fishing, which beach would you recommend within an hour drive from L.A. County?

2. Say i want to do some fishing on the bay with a rental skiff. Which beach would you recommend? possibly have an address? I tried googleing but couldnt find anything. Help would be appreciated on that. Also what do you catch and what are the limits? Thanks for the help.

try davies locker in newport harbor, they rent skiffs. You can catch all kinds of stuff in harbors but mostly people target bass (spotties, sandies, and calicos) and halibut. As for limits, I would not reccomend eating anything you catch in a harbor, but its up to you!
