I haven't seen too many reports for either of these places. Taking pops to one of the two, which one should it be? Any bigger fish being caught out of either of the two? He lives up there in the High Desert so it will probably one or the other. There also is Mojave Narrows, anything good happing over there? Thanks for the info!

Forget Hesperia, did a drive/ask by on Sat. (17th) place was dead and the couple of anglers I asked had nothing.

Went to the Narrows pelican lake was wide open after 1pm on the dropshot pink/orange power worm. And this was my 1st time there also.

I think Jess Ranch would be better, Hesperia lake has some real dirty water, and very slow trout fishing.

What happened to Hesperia??? I thought it was a pretty decent fishing hole at one time.

Out of those two choices, I'd definitely pick Jess Ranch. The workers are pretty nice and the fishing is much better than the pea soup lake.

But, I would recommend going to Mojave Narrows over both of those lakes.

I live a mile away from Hesperia Lake, and wont go there....
New mngmnt did a big overstock to get the gate $$ up, then just ran it into the ground for past 3 yrs... Its a crap hole now..........

Remember Jess Ranch is only open Fri, Sat, Sun..
But a nice clean, mellow place to fish.. $20 a head..

Mojave Narrows is a nice park setting with 2 lakes, decent fishing and $7 per car and $3 each to fish....
Some research on the Narrows here will get you some hot spots for trout..

Jess Ranch is a real nice place it fish if you are in that area already.
If you aren't it is kinda far, but the fish make it worth the trip.

Go to the narrows. Better fishing atmosphere and its cheaper.

The narrows is clean, calm, and just an overall peaceful place. as for the fish my first and only visit was a skunk but we're going back on Sunday and we are looking to change that.
