Friends of Castaic Lake meeting

Hey all....just got back from our monthly meeting. For those of you interested the new construction of a walkway on the campground side of the lake (east side) is still in limbo. I asked a few questions tho and here are the answers. Those of us that night fish the east side and park in the designated lot near the pier can still do so until further notice. There are permit issues and the start of the project is yet to be know. They did say that the permits COULD come in tomorrow but the way it sounded is its not a go for sometime. When it does start tho..there will be NO PARKING in that normal lot at all for the duration of the project(6 months). We will however be allowed to park in the first lot by the ramp for 24 hour fishing. If I hear more I will get back...I know alot of us fish the east side at night and this is important info...thought it wise to post.
