Went out to the spot early this morning. Grouch and CheifMad were in the mix. The sky was cloudy and the air a bit chilly but by the time we're getting there the sun is starting to peep through. The gates were locked due to the trout being stocked this morning, but its all good we weren't there for the trout so no crime commited:Secret: . Grouch was throwing a small swimbait for no love and CheifMad was tossing a YUM Doozie for the :Skunk:
I started off casting the Zoom super fluke in baby bass color rigged weightless on a 2/0 Gamakatsu. I was casting it right at this rock pile by this little cove and letting it fall.......twitch, twitch ,,, pause.......twitch twiBAM!!!!!! Fish on!

Here's the second one: caught the same exact way , on the fluke!

Anyways shortly after my second fish. Grouch yells with excitement, no fish on, but a trout cruised by within 10 feet just to be smashed by a 5lb+ bass. :Idea:better get me a hudd! The trout were cruising all over but we promised to leave them alone until the weekend derby.Anyways had to cut it short today my mom calls and ask for some roadside assistance, her battery died............ so you know, have to go and help mom out.
Not the biggest fish but a lil fish porn for all of us who love em' and keep the mind off the :Skunk:

Flukes work !!! and they're fun to use. I always keep a pack or two in my box. I usually flyline them, fish em reeeeeeeaaaaaallllllyyyyy slow. On occasion i'll twitch to the surface and let it splash on the surface and let sink.... watch your line closely.. i've seem them gather around it and hit it as its falling and as soon as you twitch it they'll devour it. sometimes i'll crimp a splitshot directly on the shank of the hook for a vertical drop and a faster fall. You can jig it off the bottom.
Just a couple methods that have worked for me and I often use.
