Hit the duct with my bud GLEN a little north of my usual spots and did alright.
the fish were alot fatter and thicker then the ones ive been gettin lately.

Started at 3 30 am and missed one right off, then glen missed one then i got hit again and landed that one

a little later i hooked up again ,,this one really slamed my lure

mised one more and that was abought it for the stripes .
It was getting daylight and i noticed that the water up there was the clearest duct water ive ever seen,, GIN CLEAR, you could see at least 10 or 15 feet below the surface.

abought that time BUCK LIGGETE shows up and we move down to a set of gates and fished there for abought an hour for nadda .

we decided to try some of glens old catfish canals that he fished growing up and i picked up 1 catfish there

here,s glen TOP and buck BOTTOM kicking it at the canals

All stripes caught on the LC110 AM SHAD.
The ones that we missed hit jigs and small swimbaits
Cat caught on *&&^%#$ bait:Wink:.

the secret bait was caught right where BUCK is standing,just below his feet<not shad or minnows>

thanks TRAIL BLAZER

My guess is up by Corcoran. That house in the background looks like Old River area but your post said you went up north. So I say Firebaugh, Corcoran area.

No way Main Drian is that big.

That secret bait. Let me guess, "cutbait" wink, wink.. The kind that is frowned upon.

You ever fish that canal that runs along 41 east of the 5, Scott. I saw that one when I was up there a couple months ago and it looked pretty good...for folks into that type of thing.
