View Full Version : The Lancaster Duct 1/18/09

Hello everyone!
I got there at the Lancaster Duct at 5:00 a.m. and fishing for 30 minutes. I go back in my truck and took a nap for 30 minutes until 6:00 a.m. I go out fishing again in the siphon, was casting and moving side to side. I saw a striper chased my lure at the right spot and I cast it again, FISH ON. Man, I was stuck and couldn't get my net from above the cement and dirt. I was standing on the bottom of cement near shoreline and fighting striper. Finally, I managed my striper to the landed as well when I grab my hand into a fish mouth, Whew! I don't get loss fish and fall in the river, booyah!
After, I caught a striper and went to the fishing in different gates at the Antelope Valley Duct and the Palmdale Duct. Nada more stripers. Then it was a long drive to home.

TRailBlaizer, oh yeah of course PAY OFF, I have been working hard to searching a striper between Palmdale and Lancaster. Finally, I got one striper. Yummy taco fillets. This fish is so healthy and clean fillet!

Way to go landing him without a net. I gave up bringing a net cause it is never where i can reach it when i hook up.

Oh yeah, hard to reach, cause I was worry it will hook off my lure. striper is so strong agressive swim and jump on the cement, trying to get hook off my lure. That is why I better grab my hand on fish mouth, whew. ha ha
