I get out on the Dam at 6:30am and set up to fish.

My cousin shows up and no sooner does he settle in and I wrangle a decent panner.

If his dog Copper had her way she would have tried to retrieve everything that jumped off the water.

Suddenly he is out of the chair and tackling this tiny trout.

We had a few visitors like Jo-El, well that's the way he pronounced it. He says he rides his bicycle in at night, casts out and catches cats.

In the morning there was Patrick. He comes through on his way to work, also on a bike.

Later in the day there was Gary, an older german gent that uses rubber lures only and is in constant search for the elusive giant Bass he says roams these waters. ( get a boat Gary )

I set up the Ol' "Rod in Barrel" trap as the second rod was 50 feet away. ( fish tugs, handle falls, sets hook ).

The second rod goes into a " C " formation and I have number Two.

An hour later cousin reels in his Number Two.

Thats all for now - We'll see ya here someday at the Dam. I'm out the door right now headed to The Vine.!!

Another great report and nice pics. But you might have to change your location name. You can see the mountains pretty well in your pics. But I guess that will change once summer comes.

Eric -
It was my pleasure brother. I was stoked to make my first FNN event and meet everyone. I hope that we can meet up one of these days for a day at Sante Fe or anywhere for that matter. HitsOn was talkin about an upcoming event, I may be able to make that, we'll see as the days get closer.

It's no big thing, I'm one that doesn't get worried about all that. I never divulge too much but I am always willing to help. I actually would like to see more out at Sante Fe. But with schedules and all no one will be there at the same time in droves. Theres alot more fish in that bucket than most people would have you believe. Plus people have the tendency to roam and find their own sweet spots. Trout roam anyways so they won't always be in that spot. Based on my efforts there are at least 12 good spots on the lake that they tend to swim by at any given time. See ya out there. :)
