Dusted off the bass gear to try our luck on some strippers at the wood. Got to the lake around 7:30am and the weather was perfect. Started out in miller cove and we threw everything we could for the rest of the day to try to catch any fish, we fished all over the lake for nothing. The wind was started howling around noon and made it difficult to bait fish (chovies) so we moved to cleghorn cove to hide from the wind. Trolled LC jerkbaits and swimbaits but wind blew us all over the lake. I Could not find any bait fish or schooled strippers on the graph and did not see any boiling strippers all day. We decided to call it quits at 4:30pm. I will probably be hit up Lake Pyramid next.

Better luck, and I hope better conditions for you the next time. Keep trying, and thanks for the post/pics.

Brutal yes but wind has died down and I smell a stocking in the air, smells like striper.

Don't worry about the skunk.

It's been tough lately.
