Great day on the water with Capt. Anthony and Rene on the deck aboard the Betty-G on an open charter. Only 4 pax on board with plenty of fresh live squid on board. We started the day looking for White Sea Bass at Rocky Point and caught some nice Sand Bass and Sculpin but kept hooking huge Black Sea Bass.

This one weighed about 60. lb. All the Black Sea Bass were safely released. Great fun!!! I didn't keep track of the short Calicos that were caught and released but there were a lot. Here is a Sand Bass that didn't get away.

That is definitely one fish I hope to catch (and release) one day! Very nice. How many did you guys hook? Must have been sweet. Sounds like a good winter trip. I hope to get out there when it gets a little warmer. Nice report.
