That was a good artical. I remember buying the AC plug at our local Battery and air filter shop many years ago. I know, crazy place to buy lures but I think he knew the creator of the AC plug and helped him sell them. At the time that was the only place I knew that sold them here in Lancaster.

When I lived in Ventura, Castias was at its peak. Aside from all the regulars fishing with live trout or salamandors, it really gave most the opportunity to catch a double digit fish (legally). Most, began making their own lures out of ends of broom sticks and tail ends of Worm Kings. However, the two biggest companys for hard baits were AC Cole and TNT lures. Very soon afterword, the plastics started to come on line. Worm King had been producing various versions of salt water plastics, then started producing their freshwater line of products in the mid 80's. And of course, neither product looks like what they are today, not even close!

Pretty cool! I have one of the original castiac trout swimbaits they sold. Bought it at the fred hall show in 1995 and paid 100.00 for it along with an original lmb they were carving at the time. They are no longer being used but sit in the hutch,im to afraid of losing them. Very cool stuff!!
