Was going to head out to lake skinner Saturday morning im going to fish from the shore, wanted to know how the bite is and whats hitting hard.

I use a 1/2 egg sinker with 14 lb test. I rig it Carolina rig with 6lb leader. I cut an anchovie into small rings. If you buy the anchovie from Skinner I would cut it about 4 to 5 times. It should be about the size of a nickel and about 4 times its thickness. Cast out about 10-20 feet. I catch stripers and trout (YES TROUT) on this all day long!!!!!!! If you get in the right place expect to catch them about every 15 minutes. My dad and I hit it up last week and caught 6 trout and about 15 stripers (all small probably from the past spawn).
