Opening a URL in Firefox Help

Ok,

So I use firefox now that my Safari isn't working on my Mac. Whenever I have a link, say in my email, and I click on it, it still opens in Safari. Is there anyway I can open a link, but it takes me to Firefox? Thanks!

If you are on a mac:

Open Firefox.
On the top (the options bar), right next to the apple, click firefox.
Now click preferences
Make sure that you are in the 'General' tab
On the bottom click the little option that says 'Always Check to see if firefox is default browser', and then click check now.

I hope that does it.
