Ole frog been a member for awhile, just haven't posted
First a little intro
Ole frog was born in 1930
Started fishing when I was six years old .
My dad took me on a boat out of Belmont Shores (pier )in 1936
We caught a ton of barries, some were as long as my height at the time, been hooked on fishing from that day on.
Went to grade school in Hermoas Beach (South School)
I fished the Redondo Breakwater ,Hermosa ,Mahattan ,Redondo piers in plus the barge party boats,my own boat, longrange in my life time .
The whole nine yards still fishing and ole frog is 77 years old.
The Redondo fishing barge was bombed by a lone airplane in 1941 .
It was December 25th 1941 ole frog had a good view he was fishing on the Redondo Breakwater .
We lived on the strand Hermosa Beach Second Street at this time.
Ole frogs gear was a long calcutta pole ,line, hook , sand crab or moss for bait,
I caught Opaleye,Barded Pearch,California Scorpion Fish.
This Scorpion fish is one of the many misnomers we have on the west coast most people call it a Sculpin.
It is a member of the Rockfish family not even close to any of the many Sculpins we have.
( frog thats enough of this yacking )
Ole frog fished Cibola Lake yesterday
I live in the desert 20 miles east of Blythe California in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona .
ole frog took the bassmobile all 8 foot of it and attacked them puppys of Cibola.
The tally two Large Mouth Bass ,One Channel Catfish,10 mix Redear and Blue Gill Sunfish. One Carp.
All fish were caught on Meal worms except the cat ,it fell to a nightcrawler.
I was using very light gear 4# test line ,fishing right in the Tules
Ole frog did release quite a few undersize fish ,bass and sunfish.
Ole frog been retired for 22 years and fish often .
This electronic word is a little beyond this old goat .I turned on my first computer at age 69.
