5.0 Earthquake

Well after the little 1.7 earthquake we had just a little bit ago, may slow down the fishing tonight. It was located SSW 2 miles from San Bernardino and 1 mile NNE from colton.

I didn't even feel it but I live in Hermosa.

In water of course you all know sound travels. I live in Palmdale so my wife and kids felt a big fast jolt and felt it good. Channel 9 is I heard reporting it as 5.0 but just now listening to channel 9 and they say a 4.5 in Rancho Cuchamunga.

Landed those ones before the quake on the 8th and I went up last night and lost it. The night before no love.

I was shallow water rockfishing (SWR) on the Lotta Fun outta Morro bay about 15-20 years ago when the captain (crazy Carl) came over the P.A. and informed us that a small earthquake had just occurred right onshore from where we were. He said that the bite would shut off and sure enough, it did! We had a good steady pick on the cods before that and then....NOTHING!

I don't think they felt it in Bakersfield. If they didn't it wouldn't affect the area here it has. :Sad:
